Serving as ResNet´s on-site rapid response units, SWAT teams will be available in first year student residence halls to facilitate a quick, efficient connection to the dorm computer network. Most students will not experience difficulty with this process. However, should you experience problems, we strongly recommend that you speak with a SWAT (New Brunswick Campus) representative (look for the Kelly Green ResNet SWAT shirts!) while the teams are present in your dorm.
Computer Repair will also be onsite with ResNet at many SWAT locations selling items you may have forgotten to bring with you. Please see below for more information about Computer Repair, its products and location, and locations staffed by Computer Repair during SWAT.

The Computing Help Desk can also assist with this matter, but due to the large influx of students, expected phone wait times will be significantly longer for the first several weeks of the semester. The numbers for each campus are as follows :

Computer Repair will be selling ethernet cables, TV cables, USB drives, power cables, surge suppressors, security locks, and network cards (wireless & wired). They accept cash/check or Visa/Mastercard.
Please bring ethernet cables to connect to the wired connection in your dorm room. Wireless is available in most of the dorm lounges. CSNet will be selling cables and other products on the Newark Campus If cables or any other products are needed and you live on the Camden campus, please visit your local electronics store.
In order to expedite the process of connecting to the Internet, you´ll need to create a NetID prior to your arrival on campus.
